Indy Pass looks Back On Year So Far

The Indy Pass is the fastest-growing multi-mountain pass in the world. It offers 270+ Alpine and Nordic resorts across the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and South America, each providing two days of skiing or riding, plus a third day at a discounted rate. Indy resorts are independent of any significant U.S. corporate ownership, and many are owned and operated by multi-generational families, providing a uniquely authentic and affordable skiing experience.

They recently hosted the  2nd Annual Indy Pass Press Event in NYC.

"In a highly competitive ski pass market focused on name-brand destinations, Indy Pass has built the most expansive ski area roster in history by taking a different path. Indy's mix of local ski areas and mid-sized destinations gives skiers countless choose-your-own-adventure paths through winter, at a price just about any skier can afford." said Stuart Winchester, Founder, Editor, and Host of the Storm Skiing Journal.

A spakesman said "I'd like to give an enormous thank you to everyone who joined ... We're deeply honored to have your support as we continue to expand our impact in the ski industry and grow the community we all know and love."

Here's a quick recap of some of Indy Pass' news from the last year:

What's New...

  • 50 New resorts added since last season, allowing 25/26 passholders to access 2 days of skiing/riding each at 270+ ski areas across the globe.
  • Includes 11 in Quebec/Eastern Canada, and 21 in Europe, Japan, and South America.
  • Year-round skiing when you piece together Corralco Chile in the Southern Hemisphere and various resorts in the Alps, Scandinavia, and North America, with elongated seasons.

Growth

  • 60% YOY increase in passes sold (units).
  • 40% YOY increase in visits (redemptions).
  • NSAA reported the 24/25 winter season saw the second-highest skier visitation on record, and Indy Pass is pacing above this trend.

Pass Product Innovation

  • Indy Pass recently launched the Learn to Turn Pass, an all-new pass product for 25/26 offering 3 total days of skiing, rentals, and lessons for just $189 in a true-beginner package. A growing list of 44+ resorts is participating in the program. The goal is to combat stagnant participation growth in the industry and increasingly high lift ticket prices.
  • The Employee Pass returns for its second year with a much larger offering, now allowing employees and volunteers access to 2 days of skiing or riding at 110+ participating resort partners for just $25. The goal is to create a recruiting and employment perk to benefit resort partners.
  • The Indy Shop Program partners with 80+ independent retailers across the US to offer a new passholder perk: exclusive access to 15% off ski gear and 20% off ski/board tunes at participating locations. The aim is to further lower the cost of skiing while supporting local businesses in our ski communities.

Black Mountain, New Hampshire

  • After stepping in as owners to save Black Mountain from closure 12 months ago, our team is poised to launch a new Co-Op ownership model this spring.
  • Ahead of 25/26, we're doubling down on capex investments, including snowmaking, trail work, and key infrastructure in the base area.
  • New feature-length film featuring Black Mountain's story to drop in 2026.

“The remarkable growth of the Indy Pass sends a resounding message that independent resorts worldwide are taking a stand and banding together,” said Indy Pass Managing Director Erik Mogensen.
