Dolomiti Superski: New Lifts And Pistes For Winter 2025-26

The 2025/26 winter season—the 51st of Dolomiti Superski—is just around the corner: the first lift and slope openings are scheduled for Saturday, November 29. From that day on, guests can experience some of the new infrastructure that the cable car companies of the Dolomiti Superski network have implemented during the summer and fall months.
A total of 13 lifts in 9 of the 12 Dolomites ski areas were renovated or replaced. Numerous other lifts underwent a comprehensive overhaul, rendering them practically new. Substantial investments were also made in snowmaking systems: State-of-the-art technology ensures optimal snow reliability throughout the entire season – resource-efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly.
"The history of Dolomiti Superski is rooted above all in innovation and service quality. After celebrating our 50th anniversary last year, we remain committed to our tradition and our commitment to quality. For the coming season, the cable car operators in the Dolomites have invested over 200 million euros in infrastructure – a clear sign that the quality of our offering is our top priority, and we are determined to continue on this path," explains Andy Varallo, President of Dolomiti Superski.
In total, the 130 companies of the Dolomiti Superski cooperative have invested around €154 million in preparation for the 2025/26 winter season. An additional €60 million will be invested in the new "Col Rodella" 3S gondola lift in Val di Fassa, built by SIT Canazei – the first of its kind in the Dolomites. The new gondola lift, with its valley station in Campitello, will eliminate peak-time bottlenecks previously caused by the limited capacity of the old aerial tramway. The new 3S system (two supporting cables, one haul cable) will go into operation in time for Christmas 2025.
Below are the most important infrastructure projects implemented for the upcoming 2025/26 winter season. The official season start is scheduled for November 29, 2025, weather permitting, with openings in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Plan de Corones, 3 Zinnen, Val di Fiemme-Obereggen (already on the evening of November 28), San Martino di Castrozza-Rollepass, Alpe Lusia-San Pellegrino, and Civetta. The Sellaronda, with its four central valleys—Val di Fassa, Alta Badia, Val Gardena-Alpe di Siusi, and Arabba-Marmolada—will open on December 4, 2025, while Gitschberg Jochtal-Bressanone will follow on December 5.
Total investment for winter 2025-26: approximately €153,760,000 (plus €60,000,000 for the “3S Col Rodella” project in Campitello di Fassa)
