Stowe Mountain Resort Opens Friday For The 2017-2018 Winter Season

Stowe Mountain Resort is scheduled to open this Friday, November 17th. The FourRunner Quad will open at 8am this Friday to offer lift service on Vermont’s highest peak. The Quad will continue to open at 8am on weekdays through the winter season, with a 7:30am start time on weekends and holidays. Opening weekend will offer top-to-bottom access on Mount Mansfield via the following trails: Lord, North Slope, Ridgeview, Sunrise, Standard, Centerline, Upper Hayride and Crossover. Several freestyle features will also be open. Please be advised that there will not be any beginner terrain available on opening weekend.

Skier and rider services will be accessible out of Mansfield Base Lodge for the weekend. Front Four Sports and Rentals will offer retail shopping and rental options; Mansfield Café and the Den Bar will be open for your food and beverage needs, as well as the Octagon Café serving breakfast and lunch. Additional ticket and season pass services will be available at Spruce Base Camp, which will open daily at 7:30am. The Over Easy transfer gondola will also be open daily for the season.

Cubs Daycare is open for the season with drop-off and pick-up available by the Adventure Center on Spruce Peak. Guest parking for skiers and riders is available at Mount Mansfield with newly expanded slopeside parking near the Gondola base at no charge. Free public transportation is available daily via Green Mountain Transit Authority shuttle buses beginning November 24.

Stowe’s Friday opening follows the opening of Colorado’s Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts, which began their ski seasons Friday, Nov. 10. Vail Resorts’ additional mountain resorts will open by Thanksgiving. Colorado’s Beaver Creek Resort is slated to open Wednesday, Nov. 22, as is Kirkwood Mountain Resort in the Lake Tahoe region; followed by Colorado’s Vail Mountain, Utah’s Park City Mountain and Lake Tahoe’s Northstar California Resort, with opening days of Thursday, Nov. 23.
