Soft Life Ski Afro Caribbean Festival Returns to LAAX

Following last years’ hugely successful instalment of Soft Life Ski (SLS), which sold out in just seven minutes, the trailblazing Afro-Caribbean ski festival is set to return to LAAX for its biggest event yet, welcoming 1,500 attendees to the Swiss alpine resort between 22- 27 March 2026.

Tickets for the highly anticipated SLS trip 2026 are set to go on sale at 6pm BST on Sunday 28th  September, inviting both returners and those new to the mountains for a week of snow sports, music, and exploration. This year, the festival will be a full takeover of LAAX, with rooms available at all its main hotels; rocksresort, Riders and signinahotel.

Andrew Westbrook from LAAX, Switzerland states “Hosting Soft Life Ski last year was a game-changing experience for us, bringing 900 guests from across the world to LAAX, 82% of whom were first time skiers or snowboarders who left the destination with a new passion for winter sports.

Last year’s event has led to Soft Life Ski growing its community worldwide, and with more guests than ever this year, we hope our partnership and shared ambitions continue to show the industry what we can achieve by striving to be more inclusive.”

Driven by a passion to introduce black and ethnic minority communities to the slopes and challenge skiing’s exclusive reputation as a primarily white pastime, friends and co-founders Emmanuel Ojo, Kendrick Fordjour, Edmund Antwi and Mikun Olupona created Soft Life Ski to represent a new frontier in winter sports that blends Afro-Caribbean culture with the mountains.

Following last year’s hugely successful event, which welcomed over 900 ski and snowboard enthusiasts from across the globe and was sponsored by notable partners such as Topicals skin care and Casmigos tequila,  the 2026 festival is set to surpass all previous records and continue its legacy as a groundbreaking event in LAAX, a resort at the forefront of shaking up traditional winter sports.

Now Europe’s leading Afro-Caribbean Snowsports and music festival, Soft Life Ski’s continued aim is to bring as many individuals as possible from black and ethnic minority backgrounds to the slopes and create a space on the mountains where everyone feels welcome.

Emmanuel Ojo, co-founder of Soft Life Ski states, “The overwhelming response from our 2025 trip with LAAX and the community we built has meant that Soft Life Ski has transcended being just a festival.

“What started as a cultural takeover on the slopes has become a community that blends music, fashion, travel and snow sports in a way the world hasn’t seen before. The next edition raises the bar; bigger production, new venues, fresh experiences and exciting partnerships that will create an unforgettable experience.”

Packages for Soft Life Ski at LAAX cost £1,040 - £1,100 per person and include a five-night stay at LAAX with breakfast, equipment hire, 4-day ski pass, 3-4 dinners and the complete SLS experience. For more information, visit: softlifeski.com/laax
