Join skiers on Les Menuires’ opening day, Saturday 6th December 2025; breakfast will be served in the Croisette sector for the first skiers of the season and during après ski, live bands Generation Y and 47Ter will bookend a torchlight descent alongside hot chocolate and mulled wine.

New for Season 25.26

  • Nordic Piou Piou 3 Years + This winter, the ESF is introducing cross-country skiing for children aged 3 and up. Easier to handle, lighter, and just as fun, children will get to enjoy their first glides on Nordic skis. It’s a great way to develop balance and coordination—perfect preparation before moving on to alpine skiing. These lessons are offered either as an introduction or a complement to alpine skiing, available as half-day sessions, mornings or afternoons. Price: €306, including equipment rental.
  • ESF Teen Courses: The French Ski School is now offering group lessons in skiing and snowboarding exclusively for teens, tailored to their skill level. A change that’s been very well received by both teens and parents, as they’re no longer grouped with adults—making for a much more enjoyable learning experience. The ESF now offers three age groups for each skill level in both skiing and snowboarding. Ages: 13 to 17// Price: €223 for 6 morning or afternoon sessions
  • Zig Zag Café – New Coffee Shop, Les Bruyères  Owners Laly and Elise, from Belgium, launch Zig Zag Café offering specialty coffee and drinks with light meals to take away or enjoy on-site.  Serving quality local products, including coffee from Terroir Café, a roaster based in Aix-les-Bains. A deliberately quirky and cosy decor—colourful, modern, with off-kilter mirrors in a palette of burgundy and beige. Opens 1st December 2025 
  • Expansion of 3* Alpeen Hotel to take over HO36 Offering 67 rooms, 250 beds, the new and now expanded Alpeen Hotel will showcase a 36 meter long glass corridor connecting the old hotel HO36 to the new Alpeen and incorporate Bela Veya restaurant offering traditional dishes with a modern twist, made from fresh, local ingredients. Plus the original “HO 36” bar will offer live events and sharing tapas plates.
  • Travel by Train to Les Menuires – under 8 hrs With its proximity to Moûtiers-Salins railway station, Les Menuires is one of the easiest ski resorts to reach by train from the UK. In under eight hours you can travel to Les Menuires by train via Lille, Paris or Brussels. Eurostar Snow Train [change at Lille] Saturday to Saturday, or Eurostar via Paris and TGV to Moûtiers or book an overnight sleeper train via Travelski. Les Menuires resort is a 40-minute transfer from Moûtiers-Salins railway station by regular bus shuttle.
