Big Launches For Thule At Outdoor Retailer

Constantly aiming to stay one step ahead and working together with the car industry, Thule is excited to launch a new generation of roof racks. The new Thule Evo system will include attachment feet for vehicles with a naked roof or factory raised rails and the new Thule WingBar Evo, Thule ProBar and updated Thule SquareBar offer consumers a choice of load bar based on needs and budget. With just one included tool and an intuitive interface, installing a Thule Evo roof rack system is now quicker, easier, and safer than ever before. Thule Evo systems will be available January 2019.

Thule Evo Raised Rail’s improved, compact design fits 98% of vehicles with raised rails on the market. Faster installation is possible thanks to a grip-friendly screw for manual pre-adjustment of the foot. While Thule Evo Clamp’s new kit bracket for naked roof vehicles is easier to install with click-in parts and forward-facing adjustment for positioning foot to load bar. The unique design coupled with Thule’s patented clamping technology allows for a single attachment point, securing both the foot to the roof and the system to the car. For ease of use, both raised rail and clamp style feet are safely secured with the ergonomic torque limiter key, providing tactile feedback to the user once correct assembly force is applied.

Thule WingBar Evo will feature an upper T-Track with an improved QuickAccess interface, allowing for smoother installation and removal of accessories, eliminating the need to trim sections of the rubber strip. Thule SquareBar remains as a heritage option and now includes a slot underneath, compatible with all Thule Evo and current Thule Rapid foot packs. While the new Thule ProBar offers a utilitarian solution for larger loads. All three load bar systems support a maximum capacity of 220 lbs.

With a continued focus on its industry leading Sport & Cargo carriers, Thule is excited to announce the launch of several new carriers for the outdoor enthusiast. Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2018 will be the largest introduction to date for the brand with 17 new and updated products added to Thule’s sport & cargo line up. From bike racks focused on safety and protection for your bike, to versatile cargo boxes and watersport carriers, these new products are the perfect addition for any active lifestyle.

Bike Carriers:

With a focus on safety and protection for bikes in transport, the entire line of hanging hitch carriers has been updated. A redesigned and refined collection of bike racks include the all new Thule Helium Pro, Thule Apex XT, and Thule Apex XT Swing. Each carrier now features an industry leading 7” of clearance between each bike, as well as an improved user experience with new ratcheting load straps for securing the bike, alleviating the frustration of broken or missing rubber straps. These models will all be available March 2019.

Two new hanging hitch bike racks are also being introduced to the category. Thule Camber is the ideal combination of durability, features and value, with its convenient tilt function and ratcheting load straps. While the new Thule Range is specifically designed for the RV market, built to handle the tremendous forces and riggers of a cross-country trip. Both models will launch in March, 2019.

In addition to the updated hanging hitch bike carrier line-up, a new accessory adapter for converting hitch bike racks is being introduced. Thule Access is a swing-away adapter allowing for full access to the rear of a vehicle, converting racks like the popular Thule T2 Pro XT into a swing model. This rack accessory will become available in February, 2019.

Cargo Carriers:

Thule Force XT will replace the existing Thule Force cargo box collection in October 2018. With exterior design cues from the iF Design Award winning Thule Motion XT, this revamped cargo box line is the ideal blend of form and function. This new line is perfect for daily use thanks to its tough AeroSkin surface texture and LockKnob for easy access. While the PowerClick quick-mount system ensures a fast and secure install and removal of the box. Thule Force XT comes in four convenient sizes, from 11 cu ft to 22 cu ft, to fit every adventure and every lifestyle.

Watersport Carriers:

Thule is introducing two new watersport carriers in 2019. Thule Hull-a-Port Aero (left) reflects the ease of use and functionality of the existing Thule Hull-a-Port XT, now with a sleek design that seamlessly integrates with Thule roof rack systems. While the versatile Thule Compass (right) is built with the ability to transport either kayaks or stand-up paddle boards with one system. With four different configurations and a high load capacity, this multi-water sport rack has you covered. Both water sport carriers will be available March 2019
