Bergbahnen See - Construction Work On “Familienglück” Cable Car Close To Completion

Up on the mountain, the construction phase is now in its final stages. The exit area is currently particularly exciting: a great deal of effort is being put into shaping it so that winter sports guests can disembark from the chairlift as comfortably and safely as possible. The terrain is being modeled so that guests can access a pleasantly designed area from which they can directly start the slopes. Such work may seem inconspicuous at first glance, but it is precisely this that is crucial for the quality of a modern cable car system. At the same time, work on the slopes is almost complete. The course of the future slopes, which will blend harmoniously into the mountain landscape, can already be seen. With the final touches to the slopes and the completion of the snowmaking systems, the course has been set so that the slopes will be perfectly groomed for the start of the season.

Valley station in the grand finale

While the final touches are being put to the mountain, the valley station also impressively demonstrates how far the construction work has already progressed. The restroom facilities are being finalized and will later offer guests modern comfort. The station's chair garage is also entering its final construction phase. This is where the chairs are safely parked and maintained during downtimes – a fundamental component to ensure smooth and long-lasting operation. At the same time, work is progressing on installing the control systems. These systems are the heart of the entire cable car: they monitor and control all movements of the system, thus ensuring maximum safety and efficiency. Anyone who takes a look at the valley station today can clearly see what the ensemble of technology, architecture, and functionality will look like later.

The valley station and the new descent

With each passing day, the structures are taking shape. At both the mountain and valley stations, you can now see what the finished cable car will look like. It's impressive to see how the many individual work steps—from the foundation and the technology to the design of the slopes—come together to form a coherent whole. Soon, this will no longer be a construction site, but a state-of-the-art cable car system that will offer guests of all ages unforgettable winter days.

The “Familienglück” cable car is a new project in the See im Paznaun ski area (Tyrol) that reuses a former 8-seater chairlift from Ischgl.
