Hotel Industry Veteran Dennis Barquinero Joins Burke Mountain Hotel As GM

Burke Mountain Resort of East Burke, Vermont announces the appointment of hotel industry veteran Dennis Barquinero as the Burke Mountain Hotel general manager.

Barquinero comes to Burke after spending a decade at Vail Resorts as Senior Director of Lodging Operations at the company’s Mid-Atlantic and Northeast resorts including Liberty Mountain (Pa.), Hunter Mountain (N.Y.), Mount Snow (Vt.), and Okemo Mountain (Vt.), where he oversaw all aspects of operations and management of the hotels.

Prior to that, his career in hospitality has included successfully running prestigious independent hotels and inns, including The White Elephant and Harbor House Village in Nantucket, Blantyre in Lenox, Mass. and The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Mass.

Barquinero is a New England native, having been raised in Western Massachusetts where his family owned and operated the Briarcliff Motor Lodge in Great Barrington.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Assumption College and a certificate in Professional Development from Cornell University.

Located in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, Burke Mountain Resort is an independent, four-season destination, anchored by the Burke Mountain Hotel, featuring 116 all-suite rooms with ski in/out convenience. Burke delivers 178 acres of world-class skiing and riding in the winter, and lift-served mountain biking and hiking in the summer. Burke’s bike park is adjacent to Burke’s world-renowned Kingdom Trails network, a mecca for mountain bikers. Year-round, Burke hosts events and activities that reflect the culture and community of Vermont: down-to-earth, uncorporate and driven by the spirit of the mountain and the people who ride it.
