Snowbasin Resort Announces New Benefits For Season Pass Holders And Community

During unprecedented times of public health and economic concern, Snowbasin Resort has introduced the following benefits for their season pass holders and community for the 2020–21 season:

  • 20% Renewal Discount or Free Lift Ticket: Due to the early closure of the 2019-20 season to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Snowbasin is providing a one-time 20% discount on season pass renewals for the 2020-21 season. To be eligible, guests must have had a season pass during the 2019-20 season. Those who choose not to renew by Nov. 25 will have a single-day ticket loaded to their pass for next winter. Non-transferrable & blackout dates apply.
  • Pass Protection Program: Provides assurance to protect season pass holders from future personal or community hardships. Covered events include a mandated resort closure, stay at home orders, personal injury, military service or pregnancy. Refunds are based on the amount of days skied and date of the request.
  • Spring Sale Price Extension: Snowbasin has extended early-season rates featuring the guaranteed lowest price through the end of June. The popular payment plan is available to spread the cost into three easy payments. Prices increase July 1, 2020.
  • Charitable Fund: Pass holders eligible for a renewal discount have the option to donate the discount amount to benefit each of the following organizations: GOAL Foundation, Davis Education Foundation and Trails Foundation Northern Utah. Snowbasin will also donate to these organizations.

General Manager Davy Ratchford states: “Now more than ever, we appreciate the extraordinary Snowbasin community. We are pleased to offer new protection for all pass holders to address many of the questions and concerns around next winter in addition to a 20% renewal discount for pass holders with us last season. To provide added flexibility to those faced with financial hardship, we have also extended our spring sale through June.”

The new ‘Pass Protection Program’ provides refunds ranging from 20% to 80% based on the date of the request, type of event and amount of days skied. If Snowbasin is unable to operate during the 2020–21 season, full refunds will be issued. For more information, visit https://www.snowbasin.com/season-pass-commitment.

Pass holders who renewed their season pass for the 2020-21 season prior to May 13, 2020 will receive the 20% renewal discount as a refund. They are encouraged to visit Snowbasin.com by June 30 to select if they’d like to have the refund returned to their card or donate the amount to the charitable fund. If they do not make a selection it will automatically be processed as a refund to their card.

Snowbasin continues to offer a no-interest payment plan to lock-in the current low price. It requires a 1/3 down payment, 1/3 paid on August 1 and the last third paid on October 31. The program does not add any additional fees and doesn’t require a credit check. Those utilizing the 20% renewal savings will have the discount amount spread across their three payments.

Eligible guests were emailed a promotional code to utilize the 20% discount. They have until November 24, 2020 to utilize this discount, with expiration on Snowbasin’s anticipated opening day of November 25, 2020. Those that do not renew will receive a single-day lift ticket. It is non-transferrable with and has holiday blackout date restrictions.
