Leitner Poma Writes To Support Customers

Leitner Poma has written to its customers to express support durng the Covid crisis. They say:

To our friends, family, and colleagues in the mountain resort industry:

From all of us at Leitner Poma of America, our hearts go out to each and every one of you, your families, and your staff during these unprecedented times. Having spent more than 20 years working on the resort side and living in tight-knit mountain communities, I can only imagine the impact this is having.

Of course, our collective priority right now is the health and safety of our families, employees, and communities. It’s clear that we still have a ways to go before we fully come out on the other side of this situation, and will continue to face an evolving new normal. However, I hope you can each find a silver lining in the slowdown and isolation that has been thrust upon us. We are all finding new ways to regroup, center, and refocus.

As a company, LPOA’s two most important assets are our employees and our customers, so that’s where our focus is.

At LPOA, we’re taking every necessary precaution to keep our people safe, while also keeping us in the best possible position to serve our customers. We continue to have all employees that can work from home doing so, and as of last week the factory is back up to 100 percent, working in two shifts, seven days a week. Our team is practicing strict social distancing and other protocols we have put in place that are above and beyond local, state, and national standards.

We are implementing these same standards for our installation and service crews as they hit the field and interact with our resort partners.

To ensure future continuity for our business and our customers, we continued to pay all employees through this slowdown so we could hit the ground running when the situation allowed and be there for our customers in the coming weeks and months. We are working one on one with our customers to adjust to their new reality. From fulfilling parts orders to building a new lift, each comes with its own new challenges and opportunities.

My hope for all of us is that we can come out of this stronger, more focused, and driven to get on with our lives and rebuild our communities and companies.

One important silver lining in all of this for me is it’s an opportunity to enhance the true and meaningful partnerships we currently have in the industry, and also build new ones as we help reengage the industry in the new reality that surely faces us on the other side.

If there is anything that I or the LPOA team can do to help, know that we are here for you and your teams.

Over the coming weeks I will keep everyone updated on our progress, both as a company and with the industry, as we emerge and rise up together.

Take care and be safe.
