Record Pace Of Season Pass Sales Prompts Mt. Hood Meadows To Increase Pricing To First Tier Level

Next year's season passes are selling at such a record pace that Mt. Hood Meadows has increased pass pricing to the first tier level well ahead of the traditional May 31 price deadline. As announced in its blog in April, Meadows 2022/23 season pass pricing will dynamically increase with demand. Today (Wednesday) Meadows reached the first tier level and prices have been increased accordingly.

According to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Dave Tragethon, "Passes are selling at an historic rate - far surpassing last year's then record pace. In the last ten days, our sales have tripled the amount sold during the same time frame last year. As we reach our tiered threshold targets, we will continue to increase pass pricing incrementally as a tool to manage our visitation and improve the overall guest experience. We expect to reach a point where All Access pass sales will be cut off, as was the case the past two seasons." 

Tragethon says Meadows will continue this approach both with season passes and with lift tickets for the 2022/23 season, using dynamic pricing until limits are reached. The resort published an FAQ about managing or limiting All Access Upgrades as well as Value Passes, to help guests understand better how these actions will better spread out visitation to avoid over crowding during peak time frames.
 
Those who purchase by May 31 will receive a free unrestricted lift ticket to bring a friend (or use themselves on a peak day if they have a Value Pass) and a free Nordic Track Fee for one day access.
