Pats Peak Annual Pond Skim Contest On Saturday, March 21, 2020

Pats Peak announces its annual Pond Skim Contest on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Participants try to ski or snowboard across a man-made pond. Some make it across and some take the icy plunge into the pond.

Registration for the Pond Skim event is from 8:30am to 11:30am with the event starting at 1pm. The entry fee is free but the purchase of at least a Bluster Area Lift Ticket or Pats Peak Season Pass and a costume is required to enter the contest. Entry is limited to the first 100 participants with prizes awarded for Best Costume, Best Splash and Best Skim.

“This is such a fun spring event. The crowd loves seeing them make a big splash and cheers when they make it across. Having the costumes as a requirement is a great addition to the event,” says Jim Wall, Events Director.
