MTB Bolt On For Draglifts Launches

Behind the name “easyLOOPsystem” lies a novelty from Austria that is revolutionizing bike park operations on drag lifts. The new system is gentler on the bike and significantly easier to use than the conventional anchor lift.

Especially in smaller bike parks, a drag lift is often the transport method of choice. The anchor systems designed for winter sports are usually attached to the seat post and thus push the mountain biker to the summit. However, especially for beginners and children, this type of lift ride is almost as much of a thrill as the actual descent. Incidents regularly occur, especially when unhooking or on steep, uneven lift routes. Anyone who regularly goes to a bike park with a tow lift knows the usually short lift stops in which someone who has had a lift accident has to get out of their misery.

Another weak point of the anchor system is the potential for damage to the bike. Sure, the scratches on the handlebars and seat post that may remain after a visit to the bike park aren't really that bad. In addition, their formation can easily be counteracted with a layer of tape. Nevertheless, it still happens that one or two bike park visitors stare somewhat unhappily at their scratched handlebars.

All of these points were on the mind of the Austrian mountain biker Simon Hanl when the idea for the easyLOOP system came to his mind. A system that is intended to revolutionize drag lift operations in bike parks. The specifications for this were simple: a lift ride that was comfortable, easy and, above all, safe for all skill levels.

In order to be able to meet all of these requirements, the traditional anchor bracket has to give way. Instead, a pull system that attacks the center of the stem is used. This is not only much easier to hook and unhook than the anchor, but is also much more balanced due to the centrally applied pulling force, and makes for a significantly easier ascent. Furthermore, in the event of a fall, the system detaches itself directly from the bike and, unlike the anchor, can no longer get stuck somewhere unhappily on the bike or the rider. This will prevent you from being dragged down by the lift if you fall. Damage to your beloved bike is also a thing of the past thanks to the injection molded shovel.

The shovel, which engages the stem via a form fit, is intended to work with any cockpit configuration. On suspension forks with a double bridge design, the claw hooks onto the upper bridge.

The patented easyLOOP system is currently being used successfully in 26 parks (see map)

The park and Schelpplift operators are more than satisfied with the product and could gain up to 25% more customers as a result!
