Lenz Hächler Joins The Stöckli Racing Team

Stöckli is proud to welcome a new and highly promising talent to its racing team: Lenz Hächler, one of Switzerland’s top young ski prospects, has signed a long-term contract through the 2028/29 season. The skier from the canton of Zug will compete in the World Cup under the Stöckli banner and join a strong team that includes Marco Odermatt, Alexis Monney, and Thomas Tumler."

Hächler originates from Oberwil near Zug and competes for the local ski club. He made his international racing debut on October 12, 2019, in Saas-Fee at an FIS Entry League race. He competed in his first major international event at the 2022 Junior World Championships in Panorama . His best result there was 20th place in the downhill. Up to this point, Hächler had mainly competed in FIS races in Switzerland and neighboring countries.

In 2023, Hächler finished runner-up in the Super-G at the Junior World Championships in St. Anton am Arlberg, behind his teammate Livio Hiltbrand . In the Alpine Team Combined, he finished fourth, missing another medal with Gino Stucki, and also finished fourth with the Swiss team. At the end of the season, Hächler became Swiss slalom champion for the first time, also finishing runner-up in the Super-G and winning bronze in the giant slalom.

On December 18, 2023, Hächler made his World Cup debut in the giant slalom on the Gran Risa in Alta Badia , but was eliminated in the first run.

Barely a month later, at the Junior World Championships in Haute-Savoie, he became the first Swiss since Reto Schmidiger to win the slalom junior world championship. In the downhill, he missed the bronze medal by five hundredths of a second.

In December 2024, Hächler won his first European Cup races in Zinal within 24 hours. At the end of the 2024/25 European Cup season , Hächler won the giant slalom ranking, securing a starting place for the 2025/26 World Cup season outside the national contingent. He also finished second in the overall ranking behind Norwegian Oscar Andreas Sandvik .
