InsuraGuest, Inc. has announced it has signed a contract with Wisp Resort® in Maryland to provide its hotel guests with specialized insurance coverage utilizing InsuraGuest’s proprietary InsurTech software.
Tucked away in the mountains of Western Maryland lies Wisp Resort, Maryland's only four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort.
Wisp's 172 acres of ski terrain provides snowsport enthusiasts of all levels a stellar winter playground. Non-skiers and -snow boarders won't be left out; they will have as much trouble deciding what to do with all that Wisp Resort and the Deep Creek Lake area have to offer: mountain coaster, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, shopping, dining and more, including the new Wisp Escape Games.
InsuraGuest, Inc. is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) company, utilizing its proprietary flagship InsurTech software, InsuraGuest, which integrates with hotel property management systems, and helps hotels transfer their exposure to liability by offering specialized hotels a guest protection product. Through the InsuraGuest insurance program, hotel guests benefit from potential accident and loss coverage during their hotel stay, while providing the hotel an additional profit center.
InsuraGuest’s API will integrate with the hotel’s property management system, which covers the hotel’s 168 rooms. Upon integration, the InsuraGuest software will help the hotel transfer its exposure to liability by offering specialized hotel guest protection policies.
To add the protection, the hotel purchases the InsuraGuest coverage for each registered guest and all room occupants upon check-in. The guest pays for a separate line item charged to their folio to cover the cost of the policy. The specialized policy affords coverage for theft of personal property while in the hotel as well as accidental medical expense and accidental death and dismemberment.

With InsuraGuest, hotels purchase a policy to cover each registered guest including their room occupants up to the policy limits of $2,500 to $50,000 through the hotel. Specifically, an InsuraGuest policy will cover:
- Guest personal property
- Accidental medical expenses
- Accidental death and dismemberment
InsuraGuest’s strategic relationship with Venture Insurance Programs will administer the InsuraGuest product for the hotel on an admitted basis through Great American Insurance Group, rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company.
