Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach And Spieljoch-Fügen Hosting Culinary Summit: The 7th Ski Food Festival

The ski resorts of Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach and Spieljoch-Fügen are once again hosting a very special culinary event: At the Ski Food Festival on December 13th and 14th, 2025, the huts in the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region and the Spieljochbahn Fügen will be transformed into international stages for culinary delights.

Specialties from all over the world make the Ski Food Festival 2025 one of the first culinary highlights of the winter season.

What has long enjoyed cult status in the Zillertal Valley is celebrating another edition this winter: the Ski Food Festival. In 2025, the festival once again promises a culinary journey through international cuisines: from Mediterranean classics to new and surprising flavors, the participating mountain huts will bring world cuisine directly to the Zillertal. The result is a weekend that delightfully combines winter sports and international cuisine.

Appetizers and menus from around the world

Starting at 9:00 a.m., guests can expect small surprises at the valley stations of the chairlifts (while supplies last), offering a taste of the culinary variety to come. From 11:00 a.m., the mountain huts will serve exclusive three-course menus inspired by renowned international chefs. As seating is limited, early reservations are recommended.

Cabins as stages for enjoyment

From the charming mountain huts in the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region to "Il Restaurante" on the Spieljoch in Fügen: each location interprets culinary influences in its own unique way. "Our huts are places of good taste and hospitality. At the Ski Food Festival, we bring world cuisine directly to the Zillertal," emphasizes co-owner Martha Schultz. Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach will begin daily skiing operations on December 5th (weekend operation from mid-November, snow conditions permitting), before the festival kicks off the season's first culinary highlight a week later.

These mountain huts pamper guests with specialties from different countries:
