FIS Shortlisted In Three Categories Of The Sport Positive Awards 2025

FIS’ continued sustainability efforts have been recognized with a nomination among the finalists of three categories of the Sport Positive Awards 2025: Education and Training, Inspired Innovation, and Transformation.

In the Education and Training category, the FIS Sustainability Education Plan was shortlisted thanks to its tailored approach to environmental education for the key stakeholders across the snow sports family: from the Sustainability Webinar Series to the Combined For Change peer-to-peer learning endeavor.

The FIS CO2 Caclulator − a pioneering, free-of-charge tool that helps sports event organizers simulate, measure, and reduce their carbon emissions – was shortlisted in the Inspired Innovation category. By using the calculator, LOCs and NSAs can gain a clearer understanding of the emissions generated by their events and activities. This empowers them to make informed decisions before the event itself and to take meaningful actions towards emission reduction.

Finally, FIS’ Impact Programme, a comprehensive roadmap for the organization's sustainability journey, was voted as a finalist in the Transformation category.

“It is very gratifying to take a step back, look at our recent achievements, and realize that they are being recognized for their impact. With that said, whoever works with sustainability knows that we have an unbelievably long journey ahead. A journey of constant work from all of us, as a society. FIS will keep on doing everything within its reach to contribute to a better planet and a better future.” said  Susanna Sieff - FIS Sustainability Director

An independent faculty of global judges will decide who will lift the trophy for each category, and winners will be revealed during the Sport Positive Awards ceremony on 7 October 2025 in London. The Awards celebration is held in tandem with Sport Positive Summit 2025, taking place on 7 and 8 October in London.
