Cable Car World Conference To Focus On Knowledge Transfer & Networking

Cable Car World will launch on June 9 and 10, 2026, with a revised concept: The focus will be stronger than ever on knowledge exchange, discussion, and networking around cable car projects in urban areas. In the future, the trade event will be held as a congress with an accompanying exhibition in the Congress Center of Messe Essen. Cable Car World brings together stakeholders from planning, politics, administration, business, and technology to jointly shape the mobility of tomorrow.
With the move from the exhibition grounds to the convention center, the focus is on experiential exchange. The focus is on current challenges, opportunities, and solutions – with the goal of launching concrete cable car projects and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. The Cable Car World congress offers in-depth insights into successfully implemented projects, looking far beyond national borders. Speakers from all over the world are expected. All aspects and phases will be considered: from initial ideas, concrete feasibility studies, implementation and construction to ongoing operations.
The international congress will be accompanied by an exhibition where companies along the entire value chain of urban cable car systems will present their products, technologies, and services. The exhibition will create a space for targeted discussions and collaborations, promoting practical dialogue between solution providers and decision-makers. In addition, a get-together on the evening of the first day of the event will invite exhibitors and congress participants to engage in intensive exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
"With the reorientation of Cable Car World, we are creating a place where not only visions are shared, but projects are also realized. Companies in the industry are provided with a high-quality platform to establish valuable contacts and develop new business areas," says Andrea Hölker, Project Manager of Cable Car World. "To ensure that cable cars are more closely integrated into modern mobility and urban planning in the future, we need formats that convey knowledge, connect decision-makers, and provide the necessary impetus. The combination of a congress and accompanying exhibition creates the ideal framework for this and pursues a holistic approach," adds Dominik Berndt, congress manager and Managing Director of Cable Car World GmbH.
