Blue Tomato Is Expanding Its Range Of Fast Entry Snowboard Bindings

The international boardsports and lifestyle specialist Blue Tomato (blue-tomato.com) is further expanding its range of "Fast Entry Snowboard Bindings." In addition to established systems such as Step On bindings from Burton, Union, and Nitro, as well as rear-entry bindings from Nidecker and SP, the Austrian company is also introducing the brand-new FASE bindings from Rome, Jones, Bataleon, and ThirtyTwo in the coming season.
Fast Entry Snowboard Bindings allow snowboarders to quickly and easily step into their bindings without time-consuming fiddling with straps. The innovative systems save time on the mountain and allow more focus on snowboarding – especially beneficial when riding frequently on lifts or when snowboarders are riding with skiers.
A comprehensive product range for all needs. With over 850 employees and more than 400 brands, Blue Tomato is one of the world's largest online retailers in the snowboarding, freeskiing, surfing, skateboarding, and street style categories.
William Reddin, Buying Team Manager at Blue Tomato, explains: "For years, we've observed how fast-entry bindings have evolved from a niche solution to a key segment. Our goal is to offer the right solution for every riding style and every level – from long-established Step On models to the latest FASE systems that combine traditional straps with quick entry."
The current range of fast-entry snowboard bindings includes proven Step On systems from Burton, Nitro, and Union; Supermatic bindings from Nidecker, Bent Metal, and Salomon; the established rear-entry systems SP Fastec and Flow Design; and the innovative FASE bindings. This latest technology is already being used by professional snowboarders such as Victor de Le Rue and Ståle Sandbech and combines the familiar performance of traditional two-strap bindings with the advantages of fast entry. "I had a few reservations at first, but on the first day, I forgot I was riding a new binding because it felt so comfortable and performed so well," says Blue Tomato team rider de Le Rue. The FASE system is currently offered in some models from the snowboard brands Jones, Bataleon, Rome, and ThirtyTwo.
"If you prefer personal advice, our employees in over 80 shops, as well as our Customer Service Team, have the necessary expertise to help customers select the optimal binding. In the online shop, you can check store availability in advance, and if the product is not in stock, you can have it delivered directly to the shop," says Reddin.
Starting in November, Blue Tomato will offer the "Test & Buy" and "Rent Your Ride" services to test and familiarize yourself with the Fast Entry systems. All information can be found at services.blue-tomato.com when it launches.
Technical innovation meets proven quality. The new FASE bindings represent a special innovation: They allow quick entry without sacrificing the adjustment options and riding feel of traditional two-strap systems. Step-on bindings, on the other hand, work with special boots and allow entry with just a few clicks and exit with a single movement. Children's models are also available for little ones. Rear-entry systems boast foldable highbacks and are compatible with standard boots. The online shop blue-tomato.com receives up to 125,000 visitors daily and is available in 14 languages. Customers can have their online order delivered free of charge to one of the Blue Tomato shops and pick it up there, or exchange it directly in the shop if necessary.
Blue Tomato, founded in 1988 by former Austrian European Snowboard Champion Gerfried Schuller, has headquarters in Schladming, Styria, Graz, and Vienna, and already operates more than 80 shops in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
