Australian Snowboard Alpine Team Announced For 2025/26

Snow Australia is pleased to announce the Alpine Snowboard Team for the 2025/26 season, featuring returning athletes Millie Bongiorno and Harvey Edmanson.

After another huge year on the international circuit, Bongiorno and Edmanson continue to fly the flag for Australia as they prepare for a packed northern hemisphere campaign and edge closer to their Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic dreams.

For Bongiorno, the upcoming season marks her eighth as a member of the national team, following one of her strongest years to date. She finished sixth overall on the Nor-Am Cup standings, claiming two victories, a third and a fifth place across four races in six days, while also collecting top 10 finishes at European Cup level. At her fourth World Championships, she showed her trademark consistency with top-30 finishes across both individual disciplines.

Edmanson also put together a career-best season in 2024/25, highlighted by a podium at the Austrian National Championships, where he claimed third place in the parallel slalom and posted his best-ever FIS points return. He added a top 10 finish at the European Cup in Italy and strong performances at his second World Championships.

"It is an honour to be selected in the Australian Snowboard Alpine National Team for 2025/26," Edmanson said.

"This represents many years of hard work and dedication to snowboard racing coming together for a very important international season, and my selection gives me the opportunity to race for my dreams in Olympic qualifications.

"It is the most exciting season in the four-year cycle, when everyone is at the top of their game in preparation for the Olympics.

"Snowboard racing always has a very positive atmosphere amongst athletes where we all want to push ourselves to beat the competition when everyone is at their best, and to perform well in an Olympic season is the biggest goal as an athlete.

"There are limited spots at the games for the whole world in snowboard alpine so it will be a strong battle for every place.

"I have been working and training very hard through the Australian winter at Mt Buller making some very positive changes in my riding and physical preparation, feeling stronger and faster than I ever have.

"I am also racing on new boards which I have engineered and designed alongside SG snowboards which are very promising. I am extremely excited to put all of this together in the World Cup to show what I can do!"

Both athletes have demonstrated unwavering dedication, combining for more than 50 race starts across World Cup, European Cup and Nor-Am Cup events last season. With valuable experience and momentum behind them, they’re primed to take another step forward in 2025/26.

Snow Australia congratulates Millie and Harvey on their selection and looks forward to following their journey throughout the upcoming season.
