2021 FIS Nordic JWSC Zakopane Coordination Group Meeting Goes Ahead

The Organisers first shared the positive news that construction had restarted on the jumping hill in Zakopane after a halt due to the Corona virus. Despite the delay, the hill is expected to be completed well in time for the Championships.

The competition programme was also finalised with the official dates for the World Championship set to take place from 30th January-7th February 2021.

"You can feel the enthusiasm of the Local Organisers and Polish Ski Association to host the upcoming JWSC," said FIS Cross Country Coordinator Michal Lamplot. "We were very happy to learn that everything is on schedule with the jumping hills and that it looks very positive that all three disciplines will be able to be staged in Zakopane."

There will be a second online meeting in June with an on-site inspection planned for the autumn.
