World Pro Ski Tour - Colorado Pro Open Is Coming Jan 16-18

The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) will host the Colorado Pro Open, its third race of the season, at Eldora Mountain in Nederland, Colorado on January 17th and 18th, 2020. The race will feature two-time Olympic gold medalist, Ted Ligety, alongside the best dual-format alpine racers in the world, including World Championships silver medalist, Phil Brown, the winner of the last three Tour stops and NCAA Champion, Robert Cone, and many more.

Race weekend will kick off with a “Share the Love of Ski Racing” welcome reception at Boulder’s Flatirons Subaru on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Consumers interested in test-driving a Subaru at Flatirons any time during race week will receive special VIP credentials to the race. Flatirons Subaru will join other race sponsors, including Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Tuff Shed, Surefoot Ski Boots, SYNC Performance, Sinner, and more, for the WPST Colorado Pro Open Qualifiers under the lights at Eldora Mountain Friday evening. The top 32 athletes qualify and face off against Ligety and other competitors on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

“At our last race, our regular Tour athletes proved that they are best in the world, as the top three out-skied Ted Ligety, a double-Olympic gold medalist and 5-time World Champion,” says Jon Franklin, CEO of the WPST. “With that said, Ted has a race under his belt to get comfortable with our start gates, jumps and dual format, so what happens next is anyone’s guess. We are in store for an exciting competition at the Colorado Pro Open.”
