September Events Not to Miss

The excitement continues with a line-up of can’t-miss events. On 6–7 September, pull out your vintage jackets, pants, and jumpsuits for the colourful Retro Weekend, where the entire resort steps back in time. Prizes for the best retro outfits will be awarded at Slalom Plaza and Cloud 9, ensuring a weekend full of fun and nostalgia.

Also on 6–7 September, the Summit Masters return to the top of the mountain, celebrating tradition with two days of competition. Including Giant Slalom on Saturday, followed by Bumps on Sunday.

On 7 September, the slopes welcome the annual Junior Mini Pipe Masters presented by Burton, a free event for under-16s and their parents. With tricks, prizes, and heaps of fun, it’s a celebration of family and youth snow culture. Parents are encouraged to get involved too, making it a day for the whole family to enjoy.

The Bandwagon Banked Slalom on 13 September is another highlight, offering a bumpy, challenging ride through Falls Creek’s banked slalom course. Riders of all levels are encouraged to take part, with prizes for the best Western-themed outfits adding extra flair, but remember, helmets are still compulsory for all competitors.

Looking ahead, mark 5 October for the iconic Pond Skim, a fun-filled end-of-season celebration combining creativity, skill, courage, and a little luck. Competitors over 10 years of age will see if they can glide across the icy pond or take a plunge, with huge prizes and plenty of cheering to spur them on.
