Twiceme & Haglöfs Bring Digital Safety Technology To Winter Apparel

Twiceme Technology, a company building the digital safety standard for jobsites and adventures, today announced its partnership with Haglöfs, the renowned Swedish outdoor brand. The collaboration integrates Twiceme's innovative digital safety technology into the new Haglöfs ski touring set. The integration marks Twiceme's entry into the winter outdoor apparel market, empowering outdoor adventurers to be more proactive about their safety.
Twiceme Technology is building the digital safety standard for jobsites and adventures. The company's innovative NFC-based safety platform provides comprehensive emergency response capabilities, including immobility detection, medical information access, and emergency alert systems. Twiceme's technology is integrated into helmets, clothing, and equipment across multiple industries to enhance user safety and enable faster emergency response.
The partnership combines Haglöfs' decades of expertise in creating high-performance outdoor gear with Twiceme's cutting-edge digital safety solutions. Founded in 1914, Haglöfs is a pioneer in outdoor clothing and equipment, building a reputation for innovative, sustainable gear that enables outdoor enthusiasts to safely push their limits. By embedding Twiceme's near-field communication (NFC) technology directly into clothing, Haglöfs customers will have instant access to critical safety features that could prove vital in emergencies.
"Haglöfs is committed to enabling people to explore the outdoors safely and confidently," said Martin Daniels, CEO, Haglöfs. "By embedding Twiceme's technology directly into our apparel, we're giving our customers an additional layer of protection that travels with them wherever they go. We're excited to offer innovative solutions that enhance outdoor experiences while providing additional peace of mind through embedded safety features."
Haglöfs new ski touring set will now feature Twiceme's suite of safety capabilities through the Twiceme smartphone app, including a Medical ID feature that enables users to upload vital health information, such as allergies, medical conditions, medications, and emergency contacts. First responders can instantly access this life-saving information by simply hovering their smartphone over the Twiceme symbol on the apparel. The safety features also include:
- Share Location lets select users see real-time location, helping them keep track of their teams or groups.
- Emergency Services function enables users to manually trigger emergency notifications when they recognize danger, utilizing GPS capabilities to pinpoint their last known location for a rapid response.
- Get Back Timer enables users to set expected return times, automatically alerting designated contacts if they fail to come back as scheduled.
- Immobility Alert detects prolonged immobility, which could indicate someone is incapacitated. If a user does not respond to a mobile notification, it triggers an emergency alert as the individual can’t answer for themselves.
"We believe adventurers should feel confident exploring wherever their passion takes them," said Christian Connolly, CEO of Twiceme. "Our partnership with Haglöfs empowers people to take control of their safety during outdoor activities. For the first time in winter clothing, by integrating technology into Haglöfs' trusted winter outdoor garments, we're giving users the tools to be proactive about their safety and giving emergency responders the information they need to respond more effectively."
The collaboration between these two Swedish companies underscores both organizations' commitment to innovation and safety in outdoor activities, from hiking and mountaineering to skiing and expeditions.
