As momentum builds in Italy before the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Trentino has secured its crown with massive early-season snowfall, with high elevations seeing up to 70cm of fresh snow.

Beyond the high-performance slopes, Trentino’s Passo Tonale was recently named the best value family ski resort in Europe, highlighting that the region’s Olympic-level conditions remain accessible for all.

Heavy snowfall across the Italian Alps has firmly announced winter’s return - and Trentino is leading the charge, with up to 70cm of fresh snow already blanketing its higher elevations.

With more snow forecast in the coming days, the region is enjoying a prime early-season start, just as Italy builds momentum toward the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

One Province, Two World-Class Ski Domains

Trentino is uniquely home to two of the Alps’ most comprehensive ski systems: Dolomiti Superski and Skirama Dolomiti - Adamello Brenta.

  • Dolomiti Superski is the world’s largest ski carousel, connecting 12 ski areas across northern Italy via a single pass - including 350km of pistes within Trentino alone.

  • Skirama Dolomiti - Adamello Brenta links western Trentino’s resorts into a single network, with slopes reaching up to 3,000 metres at Peio and Passo Tonale - offering snow-sure conditions from early winter through late spring.

Passo Tonale Best in Europe for Family Skiers

∫The accessible alpine resort was named for its outstanding value, snow reliability and ease of access, reinforcing Trentino’s status as a destination that delivers premium alpine conditions alongside appeal for all generations, as the countdown continues to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
