Sportube Retains ‘What’s Up’ Public Relations As Agency Of Record

For 22 years Sportube hard cases have been the tried and trusted method for transporting and protecting valuable ski and snowboard equipment when traveling. With new travel regulations sales are up and new products are being released. To assist in sharing the good news, this month Sportube has named What’s UP Public Relations the agency of record.

Sportube attended the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show at the Denver Convention Center January

25th- 28t. and the ISPO show in Munich the 28th-Jan 31st.

At the shows, they featured the newest in transport bag technology with the Toaster Elite and new Toaster Boot Bags. These will round out their full collection of hard cases (Made in the USA), soft bags, gear and boot bags, and accessories for skiing, snowboarding, fishing, water skiing, and biking.

After working with technical engineers and design consultants, the Sportube brand was conceived, manufactured and launched in 1996 with the introduction of both a single and double ski case with wheels. The Sportube line expanded in 1998 with the launch of the much requested snowboard case and again in 2001 with the introduction of the Master Series fly rod cases. Sportube continues to be an innovator and leader in providing convenient travel options for sports enthusiasts.

Living and working in the Rocky Mountains has allowed Sportube to create unique and personal relationships within the Snow Sports Industry. Sportube is the exclusive ski case sponsor for NAASF (North American Airline Ski Federation), Vail Ski Club, USA Telemark Ski Team, esteemed Ski Cross racer Matt Brady, USA Men's and Ladies Spearfishing teams, USA Rafting team, and supports many other aspiring racers, competitors, athletes and regional clubs.

“We’re constantly listening to people and working on fresh ideas to ensure you have the best trip possible no matter what equipment you are taking with you,” says Sportube Founder and President Paul Hields. “In fact, our cases are so versatile, they’ve been used for transporting spear guns, kayak paddles, swords and have just recently been discovered by kiting and soaring plane enthusiasts.”

Given this diversity and demand, Hields felt it was time to add additional support with What’s UP Public Relations, a seasoned and reputable expert in both markets for outdoor and snow. "This was the perfect time to add strategic partnerships in communications, events, new sponsorships and social media outreach.”
