Nidecker Welcomes Three World-Renowned Snowboarders To The Team

Living legend of the sport Mike Basich, talented “selfie” shooter Tim Humphreys, and stylish backcountry charger Shin Biyajima will now be riding Nidecker boots and boards exclusively.

Now living off the grid at his mini-resort Area-241 and running his 241 snowboard clothing company, California cruiser Mike Basich made a name for himself over the course of a storied career riding any and all kinds of terrain while developing his skills as one of the best self-taught snowboard photographers in the business.

Respected as much for his “selfie” filming skills as he is for his smooth and pleasing style on and off the snow, New Jersey native turned international globetrotter Tim Humphreys honed his all-around skills on the icy slopes of the eastern United States.

Born in Nagano, when Shin Biyajima isn’t honing his freeride skills in the Japanese Alps around his home resort of Hakuba, he’s busy making a name for himself in places like Jackson Hole and the backcountry steeps of Alaska.

The entire team at Nidecker looks forward to integrating Mike, Tim and Shin’s knowledge and experience into every aspect of the snowboard program.
