Aspen Snowmass Offers The Most Exclusive Winter Tours - Go Behind The Scenes:

Aspen Snowmass has long been synonymous with perfectly groomed pistes, legendary powder and some of the most iconic skiing in North America. But beyond its daily mountain operations, a collection of exclusive experiences offer insider access for travellers who seek more than the ordinary winter getaway. From private first tracks at sunrise to dining deep in the mountains by snowcat after dark, Aspen Snowmass offers unprecedented access to the landscapes, expertise and behind-the-scenes magic that define this world-class destination.

  • The Private Side of Skiing: First Tracks & Last TracksWhether you’re an early bird or a late starter, intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders can enjoy a unique behind-the-scenes mountain experience with the ‘First Tracks’ and ‘Last Tracks’ programme. In the morning, join ski pros to explore the mountain on freshly groomed pistes before the general public arrives, or head out with Ski Patrol in the afternoon and get an insider look into mountain operations and the “sweeping” of empty slopes. The experience costs $34 per person for First Tracks and $150 per group (up to four) for Last Tracks, exclusive for guests of The Little Nell and The Limelight Hotel. Advanced reservations and valid lift ticket/season pass required.
  • Alpine Dining at its Peak: Snowcat Dinner Rides to The Cabin and Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro For a truly unforgettable evening, embark on a magical snowcat journey to Cloud Nine Bistro on Aspen Highlands, which is now offering public snowcat dinners during the winter season following a multi-year hiatus. This exclusive dining experience features elegant Swiss and Continental Alpine cuisine paired with postcard-perfect mountain views beside a cosy wood burning fireplace. Alternatively, The Cabin on Snowmass Mountain continues to offer its snowcat dinners this winter, with a seasonally inspired menu of shared plates and three exquisite courses, served alongside a full bar selection. The adventure begins at 6pm, with a return trip under the stars at 9:30pm. Tours including snowcat ride and dinner at The Cabin cost between $165 to $230 per person and to Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro cost $275 per adult.
  • Explore the Quiet Wilderness: Snowshoe Adventures with The Little Nell and ACES Discover the serene, untouched beauty of Aspen's winter landscape on a guided or self-guided snowshoe trek. Guests of The Little Nell have access to complimentary snowshoes and the use of a fully electric Audi A6 e-tron to venture to a selection of recommended trailheads, including the Maroon Creek Trail. Visitors seeking a guided Naturalist experience can join one of the two-hour snowshoe tours offered by Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) in Aspen and Snowmass, beginning at the top of the gondolas every day at 10am and 1pm. Self-guided tours are free for guests of The Little Nell, or guided tours cost $85 per adult and $63 per youth (7-17) with ACES.
  • Deep Powder Access: Aspen Snowcat Powder Tours For expert skiers and riders, the ultimate dream is untouched powder. Aspen Snowmass makes this dream a reality with guided snowcat tours accessing pristine, remote terrain. A typical day averages 10,000 vertical feet of ungroomed wilderness skiing and boarding, with two guides leading each ten-person snowcat. The experience includes a hearty lunch in a cosy cabin set in the heart of the scenic Elk Mountains. Single seats cost $850 per person, or $8,000 for a private cat with ten seats.
  • The Ultimate Behind-the-Scenes: Groom the Mountain.  Get an up-close, operational view of what it takes to prepare a world-class ski resort. This intimate experience lets two guests ride shotgun in a snowcat up Aspen Mountain as it meticulously grooms the slopes for the next morning. Get an insider experience alongside the driver who will explain the secrets to creating perfectly groomed trails. Tours cost $200 per outing (accommodating two guests), exclusive to guests of The Little Nell and The Limelight Hotel.
