Snoworks & Snoworks PRO Launch Summer 2021 Ski Courses In France And Italy

Snoworks has launched a comprehensive program of ski courses through the summer of 2021 for skiers that would like to improve their skills or embark on a route to becoming a ski instructor.

  • Chance to ski this summer in Tignes (France) and Cervinia (Italy) with Snoworks
  • From 1 week skills courses to 7 week ski instructor qualification program
  • Combine skiing with multi activities such as mountain biking, rafting and climbing
  • Courses run from late June to mid-August 2021

It’s a chance for skiers to get a fix after missing out on an entire winter.

The courses are based in the French resort of Tignes, with one of the most extensive summer skiing areas in Europe and the Italian resort of Cervinia, where skiers can access the glacier in the Swiss resort of Zermatt.

Whilst the skills courses that run for five days of the week are based in both resorts, the ski instructor courses that run from 2 to 7 weeks depending on the level are based in Cervinia only. The courses include, Ski Skills Development, Ski Race Carve, Ski Race Camps and Junior Race Camps – private tuition for any level is also available.

For those skiers looking to enter the world of ski instruction, Snoworks Pro are offering three courses in Cervinia, all working towards BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) qualifications. The 7 week program from July 3 to August 21 delivers training and assessment for both the BASI Level 1 and 2 qualifications, preparing those who qualify for the chance to gain employment in many different countries as ski instructors during the 2021-22 winter season. For those that already have the BASI Level 1 exam, the 5 week course starts on July 17 and runs alongside the Level 1 and 2 course. There’s also a Level 1 only training and assessment course, running over 2 weeks from July 3 to 17.

Lee Townend, director of Snoworks Pro, said: “Now there’s ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ in regards to travel, it’s time to get excited about skiing again! Firstly, and most importantly, over the 7 weeks we will take pupils through the BASI ski instructor system. With it being summer they get the best of both worlds. There’s the long hot sunny summer days in the Alps, where there’s an opportunity to go hiking, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, rafting, canyoning, golf and horse riding; oh and the pizza!. The course is based in the resort of Cervinia, Italy and all the skiing will take place on the amazing snow sure 3820m Zermatt Glacier, the highest ski area in Europe”.
