Snowbowl Announces 93% Of Terrain Now Open

Today, Arizona Snowbowl is thrilled to announce 93% of its terrain is now open and all eight lifts are running. With nearly all terrain open during the first week of December, Snowbowl is seeing its best early-season conditions in years. For perspective, as of Dec. 5 last year, the resort had 50% of the lifts and 21% of the trails open.
So far this season, Snowbowl has received 5 feet of snow. The resort is well ahead of typical early-December conditions, setting the stage for what could be another historic season.
Last winter, Snowbowl set a new record with 185 skiable days and closed in June for the second year in a row. Snowbowl’s recent investments in snowmaking near the Humphrey’s Chairlift will allow more terrain to stay open later this season.
With excitement building, Snowbowl is emphasizing responsible skiing and snowboarding. This month, ‘Know the Code’ events held at the Snowbowl tent will help skiers and riders put Your Responsibility Code into action.
- Collision Camps: Saturdays in December from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests test their collision-awareness knowledge for a chance to win winter gear.
- Safety on the Slopes: Sundays in December from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Skiers and riders can show what they know about the Responsibility Code for a chance to spin a prize wheel and win safety-focused swag.
For those planning a holiday getaway, Santa will visit the Hart Prairie beginner area on Dec. 23–24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can share their Christmas wishes, take photos, and ski with Santa.
