Ski Area Bergbahnen Dreiländereck GmbH & Co KG Insolvent

The Alpine Creditors Association announces that insolvency proceedings have been opened at the Klagenfurt Regional Court over the assets of Bergbahnen Dreiländereck GmbH & CoKG in 9601 Arnoldstein, Seltschach No. 125. This is a bankruptcy proceeding.

Causes of bankruptcy

The reason for the insolvency stated in the application is that the 2023/2024 winter season developed catastrophically. The debtor was faced with significant increases in electricity costs, which could not be cushioned.

In addition, due to the lack of snow this season, it was not possible for the first time this year to start skiing in 2023. For the same reason, operations had to be stopped again on February 24, 2024.

This ultimately meant that the desired sales could not be achieved and the business could no longer be run to cover costs.

The total liabilities amount to around EUR 3,177,500.00, of which the liabilities of subordinated creditors amount to around EUR 2,304,000.00.

45 creditors and 12 employees are affected by the insolvency.

If discussions with investors promise success, an application for a restructuring plan will be submitted to the court after the general audit meeting, according to the debtor.

Bergbahnen Dreiländereck GmbH & Co KG was originally founded in 1972 as a limited partnership. Bergbahnen Dreiländereck GmbH was founded in 1992 and has acted as the personally liable partner of the limited partnership ever since. The managing director of these companies is Mag. Wolfgang Löscher.
