Schladming-Dachstein Recognized As The Strongest Destination Brand In Austria

The Styrian adventure region Schladming-Dachstein has been appearing even more strongly as a single destination in the internationally highly competitive tourism market since the recently implemented structural reform of the association. Now the successful region has been awarded the seal of approval by the renowned organization “Superbrands” as one of the strongest brands in the industry. According to the top-class Brands Council, Schladming-Dachstein has achieved outstanding values ​​within the tourism industry.

The Superbrands Organization is considered the most respected authority in the field of branding. Superbrands are those brands that have built up a very good image in the respective market segment or in the market as a whole and offer the public specific or at least noticeable advantages compared to their competitors. “Schladming-Dachstein has long established itself internationally as a highly professionally managed brand. The award of the seal of approval confirms that its design and perception are seen as exemplary for other market participants in the industry, ”says Andreas Keinprecht, Chairman of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association.

New tourism association strengthens the common brand

“We are very happy and of course proud of this recognition, which is a confirmation of the intensive work of the last few years”, explains Mathias Schattleitner, Managing Director of Schladming-Dachstein Tourismusmarketing GmbH. “The newly implemented merger to form the third largest tourism association in Austria leads to a further strengthening of the common brand, in which we can bundle our budgets even more and thus appear even more strongly on the market,” said Schattleitner. "This enables us to be as well equipped as possible for the upcoming, in some cases new, challenges in destination management."
