Rock A Rail Ski & Snowboard Tour 2025 Takes Over Riga

The Baltics have officially entered the Snowfest map. The inaugural Snowfest Riga (Nov. 28 - 30), together with the Rock A Rail Ski & Snowboard Tour 2025, stormed into the Latvian capital and delivered a successful premiere. With a new country and a new city on the tour, Riga offered one of the most urban venues to date, packed with raw street energy and a passionate local riding community for the fourth stop of the fall season.
The Rock A Rail Ski & Snowboard Tour has established itself as a fixture in the European freestyle scene, setting new standards for street-style snowboarding and streety-style skiing. Riga’s setup at the unique “Ghetto Games Coliseum” provided a distinctive, authentic street environment that electrified both riders and spectators. The features, including a wallride, added fresh creative opportunities and set the tone for an unforgettable event. Rock A Rail gathered international riders as well as a strong crew of Baltic riders showcasing the community is alive and well.
- Rock A Rail Snowboard: In the women’s competition, tour regular Anne-Sophie Lechon (BEL) secured her first win of the 2025 season after two third-place finishes, showcasing consistency and progression. Mia Langridge (GBR) claimed second place just a week after her strong performance in Innsbruck, while Maaria Liis Rahumeel (EST) rounded out the podium in third. The men’s snowboard field saw strong riding from local hero Nauris Putenis (LAT), who had already impressed at the Hintertux Kick-Off. Casper Holtzapfel (NED) followed with a well-earned second place, and Joewen Frijns (BEL) took third after throwing down standout tricks, including a Backside 360 to 50-50 Backside 540 Out, landed first try and greeted with huge cheers from the crowd and judges. The Best Trick Awards went to Holtzapfel and Lechon.
- Rock A Rail Ski: In the women’s ski category, Ella Hall (GBR) dominated the field, grabbing her first Rock A Rail victory after a third-place finish in Innsbruck the week before. Second place went to Ellen Damsgaard (DEN), with Johnson Piper (USA) taking third. The men’s competition featured a strong mix of tour regulars and impressive Baltic talent. In the end it came down to Tyler Nicholls-Stubbington (IRL) and Toms Baltmuguris (LAT). Nicholls-Stubbington kept his cool to claim his second Rock A Rail victory of the 2025 season after Thun. Baltmuguris took an emotional second place in front of his home crowd, and Jeremy Boiston (GBR) secured third.
The premiere event in Riga also featured the beloved Snowfest Village, familiar from editions in Innsbruck and The Hague. Visitors enjoyed ski-jumping sessions, a mini ramp, and family-friendly activities for all ages.
With the Riga stop wrapped, the Rock A Rail Ski & Snowboard Tour 2025 heads toward its final destination: Snowfest The Hague, taking place just before Christmas (December 19–21, 2025).
