Reutte On Ice Opens On November 17th With DJ Otzi

It is with great pleasure that those responsible for the market town of Reutte and the Tourist Association of the Reutte Nature Park Region present the first joint project of in-depth cooperation within the framework of professional site management: Reutte on Ice.

The committee for location development in the market town of Reutte has been working intensively on setting up professional local marketing structures since the last municipal council period. The Reutte Nature Park Region Tourism Association as well as the merchants and trade fair association were closely involved. The aim is to set up a joint site management GmbH. The draft of a partnership agreement is already available. At the General Assembly on April 20, 2022, the Reutte Nature Park Region Tourism Association decided to be a shareholder. The municipal council of the market town of Reutte will set the course for this in the near future. The merchant team and trade fair association are striving for project-based cooperation as associated partners.

The concept for Reutte on Ice envisages an appealing and unique ice rink in the heart of Reuttener Park in Untermarkt. With the expansion of the Reuttener Eistraum with skateways and a second ice rink, visitors have an impressive ice skating area totaling 2,080m² at their disposal. This ice rink can also be used for activities such as curling, and ice hockey.

As an additional offer, the Ausserferner Christmas market takes place around Reutte on Ice on two weekends in Advent. The previous location on the church square proved to be too small in the past due to the high number of visitors. The new location is to be designed to be family-friendly and easily accessible. This should make visiting the Ausserferner Christmas market even more attractive. In order to offer a lively and varied program, events are also planned during the opening hours of Reutte on Ice. Rounded off by a harmonious lighting concept, the ice skating rink in the middle of Reutte will not only make children's eyes shine.

The official opening of Reutte on Ice is scheduled for November 17, 2023. Operation is scheduled until February 25, 2024. The opening event on November 17, 2023 is all about the ORF charity event "Licht ins Dunkel" and will be spectacularly staged in cooperation with MK Illumination (Lumagica Reutte/Ehrenberg). The internationally renowned DJ Ötzi, patron of the charity event, will create an atmosphere with an exclusive performance in Reutten's Untermarkt. Performances by Lechufer and the mood band Bääm round off the supporting program on the opening day.

With this new attraction in combination with the attractive offers of the tourism and business location Reutte (Alpentherme Ehrenberg, Lumagica Reutte, highline179, Bergwelt Hahnenkamm, etc.) one would like to win new holiday guests for the nature park region Reutte and at the same time offer the local population an attractive leisure offer.
