Project Excellence Award For "Saalbach 2025"

This year's Project Excellence Award went to the project "FIS Alpine World Ski Championship Saalbach 2025", which took place in Saalbach (Salzburg) from February 4th to 16th, 2025, under the direction of Florian Phleps.

The World Ski Championships took place from February 4th to 16th, 2025, in the Saalbach-Hinterglemm/Leogang ski area. A total of approximately 175,000 spectators attended the competitions live. The event combined top-level sport with impressive event organization and focused on sustainable regional impact. "Sophisticated, well-structured, and documented project management contributed to the project's success. Project crises were handled superbly, with the involvement of regional stakeholders. A green event with sustainability benefits for the region," said Brigitte Schaden.
