Project Completion Of The New Diasbahn Cable Car In Kappl - Natural Hazard Planning

As part of the construction of the new 10-EUB Diasbahn cable car by the Kappl mountain railways, AEP was allowed to take over the  #NaturalHazardsPlanning within the framework of the cable car law procedure.

Following the planning submission in 2024 and the construction in the summer of 2025, the Diasbahn has now successfully started operation.

The focus of the AEP was the protection of the facility from alpine natural hazards, in particular snow and avalanche impacts and flood hazards from mountain streams.

Through precise hazard analyses, we were able to implement site-specific protection, retention and drainage measures.

During the construction phase, they were also supervised by the torrent and avalanche expert construction supervisor, which ensured that the planned measures were implemented professionally.
