Pats Peak - $27,500 Raised For The Childhood Cancer Lifeline

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline 2019 event at Pats Peak raised over $27,500, guaranteeing vital supports to local families who have a child battling cancer. The Childhood Cancer Lifeline provides direct financial assistance and comfort items to families, as well as opportunities for family support, from the point of diagnosis, through the journey with cancer. In 2018, in excess of $108,000 was provided to local families, through the Lifeline’s financial assistance, laptop and scholarship programs.

Pats Peak skier/riders and employees donated at cashier locations through the donation request campaign and papered the lodges with well wishes, collectively donating $6,109. Auction and dinner attendees generously bid on many silent and live auction items and purchased raffle tickets to continue to raise money for the Childhood Cancer Lifeline. Pats Peak donated a portion of their March Midweek Online Lift Ticket sales for a total additional donation of $1,410. Over the past 19 years, fundraising efforts at Pats Peak for the Childhood Cancer Lifeline have raised in excess of four hundred thousand dollars. Be sure to join us next year for the 20th annual event Childhood Cancer Lifeline Event at Pats Peak.

Sylvia Pelletier, President of the Childhood Cancer Lifeline says: “In NH, we face the unfortunate reality that our rate of pediatric cancer is highest in the nation. The demand for our support grows each year. As a small organization, we work tirelessly to raise funds and pass them directly to those who need it, the families. This year’s event again validated that we live in a world of compassion and generosity. The lodge was papered in the well-wishes of generous donors. Our auction and dinner featured a tightly-packed group of bidders, who enjoyed bidding against one another in support of families. We are tremendously grateful for the continued support of Pats Peak employees, vendors, skiers and riders, community members, businesses, and families. We owe the success of this event to all of them.”

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline has a dedicated group of board members, and volunteers who work very hard to organize and run this event. In addition, they would like to thank community volunteers Rita Blanchard, Karen Kana and Jenn Pineo for their assistance in making this event such a success.
