Otztal Tourismus "Housewarming" iIn New HQ

Tyrol's largest tourism association invested almost 7 million euros in its new service center on almost 1,500 square meters in the center of Sölden. Agile opportunities for cooperation and a unique brand experience characterize the scenario: the headquarters is a benchmark for contemporary communication and information for guests, member companies and the local population.

Due to the pandemic, the official opening of the new information and administration center of Ötztal Tourismus has only now been rescheduled. The change of quarters at the end of 2021 also meant a structural reorientation towards a modern communication building for Tyrol's largest tourism association. From here, the contact persons of the organization serve guests and members from the entire Ötztal. The building sets a deliberate aesthetic counterpoint in the center of Sölden. This was penned by the architect Johann Obermoser. In doing so, he follows the constructional and structural principle of an attractive information environment in the design language of the time. The new access bridge over the Ötztaler Ache already anticipates this design approach.

Pioneering workspace

In its new home, Tyrol's largest tourism association relies on flexibility and flat hierarchies in the workplace. The high level of functionality of the service center enables the 45 employees to continuously interact with each other across processes. In the conference rooms on the upper floor, which are equipped with the latest technology, the live transmission takes place during the Ötztal Cycle Marathon, for example. “Our team works on almost 1,500 m² of light-flooded space under one roof. The aim was to create premises that enable future-oriented touristic product development and marketing of the Ötztal,” explains Oliver Schwarz, director of Ötztal Tourismus.

Interactive Ötztal experience

Tech fans will be amazed at the Guest Service information office: customers looking for information will receive stimulating impressions of the fascinating possibilities and offers of the longest side valley in Tyrol in the interactive brand experience world. Tools such as digital information steles and an XXL screen convey a 360-degree experience of the Ötztal. In addition to these technical features for the playful staging of the destination highlights, personal advice continues to enjoy high priority. This takes place at three separate counters, which are supplemented by a digital card table with self-service.
