Mammut Cleans Up At ISPO 2019 With 3 Award-Winning Products!

There’s been a pretty impressive awards haul at ISPO 2019 for Mammut. 3 award-winning products this year:

Mammut Sota HS Hooded Jacket – Product of the Year [snowsports] - extremely stretchable due to Mammut's PHASEknit technology, it’s PFC-free DryTechnology 3-layer material makes the jacket waterproof and breathable. The innovation lies in the PHASEknit process which allows the seamless integration of different material properties and their strategic placement in the product. This makes it possible to design products with fewer seams and tapes that are more durable, breathable and more comfortable. The use of laminated knit also ensures a unique design. In addition, the PHASEknit process ensures that the products leave a much lower ecological footprint. Thanks to the Georganic T-Shape pattern, the fit and freedom of movement are further optimised.

Mammut Photics HS Thermo Hooded Jacket - the world's first laser fused jacket. The down jacket is completely waterproof and breathable and therefore ideal for extremely cold, windy and wet weather conditions (down filling: 750 cuin goose down). Mammut is significantly involved in the development of the innovative technology behind the jacket – the Laser Fuse Technology. With Laser Fuse Technology, materials are joined without adhesive to create seamless isolation zones. In addition, the new laser machine allows complete freedom of design. Different sizes of insulation chambers can be welded together and therefore allow different filling quantities to be placed as required. Furthermore, there is no loss of down thanks to quilting seams without pinholes.

The innovative, completely waterproof and breathable down jacket is ideal for extremely cold, windy and wet weather conditions (down filling: 750 cuin goose down). Mammut is significantly involved in the development of the technology and owns the world's first and so far only production facility for textile laser welding. The Laser Fuse device is  located at the headquarter in Switzerland (Seon), where the first limited edition (500 pieces; B2C only) is developed and produced.

Mammut's latest technological innovation has the potential to revolutionize the production of down jackets. With Laser Fuse Technology, materials are joined without adhesive to create seamless isolation zones. A completely new production facility for textile laser welding has been developed for this purpose, enabling an unprecedented production method: the laser penetrates through the outer, laser-transparent textile layer and hits an absorbing layer that converts the light into heat. This brings the joining spots into the range of their melting temperature, which are then connected by  mechanical pressure. By doing so, the outer layer and the inner layer of the jacket can be connected without visible seams. In addition, the new laser machine allows complete freedom of design. Different sizes of insulation chambers can be welded together and therefore allow different filling quantities to be placed as required. Furthermore, there is no loss of down thanks to quilting seams without pinholes. The new product incorporates an innovation process of more than two years.

Mammut Trion Spine 50 - an alpine backpack with a revolutionary back system: The Mammut Active Spine Technology ensures greater freedom of movement for the shoulders and hips together with even weight distribution. The back system adapts to the spine’s natural movements when walking and ensures more comfort on demanding ascents with a lot of equipment. The large front opening allows easy access to the main compartment. The backpack features additional pockets and storage possibilities, a trekking pole carrier, ski and ice axe attachments as well as a rope fixing strap under the flap. Lateral compression straps make it possible to reduce
