Madonna Di Campiglio Relies On Smart Pricer Dynamic Pricing

The SMART PRICER team is delighted to welcome SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio as a new client to its network, starting with the 2025/26 winter season. This marks the beginning of the future of digital price management for one of Italy's most renowned and largest ski resorts.
The SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio comprises three mountain railway regions – Funivie Folgarida Marilleva SpA, Funivie Madonna di Campiglio SpA and Funivie Pinzolo SpA – and offers its guests:
- 108 slopes with a total of 156 interconnected kilometers of slopes
- 59 lifts
- 4 snow parks
- an altitude of 850 to 2,500 meters
- a single ski pass for the entire ski area
FROM RIGID DISCOUNT LEVELS TO FLEXIBLE PRICING
Madonna di Campiglio previously used a manual tiered pricing model: predefined price levels with fixed discount periods. Together with Smart Pricer, this system has now been further developed into a fully automated dynamic pricing model.
The goal:
- Automation and optimization of price control
- Fair, data-driven pricing,
- Better capacity distribution throughout the season and at the same time the clear requirement that skiing remains affordable.
- Flexible pricing allows the ski resort to control price levels in a targeted and fully automated manner – for example, with a price range of -20% to +10%.
- This ensures that skiing remains affordable, especially for families, while simultaneously supporting sustainable development.
TOGETHER INTO THE FUTURE
The collaboration between SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio and Smart Pricer began at the end of 2024 with an analysis project and a price sensitivity survey. Following extensive simulation of the upcoming winter season regarding prices and revenues, as well as coordination in the summer of 2025, the system went live on October 1st.
Benvenuti e buona collaborazione – here's to a successful 2025/26 winter season!
