Loischkopf Cable Car In The Brandnertal Valley Relies On Sitour For Modern Information & Guidance Systems

With the new Loischkopf cable car in Bürserberg, the Brandnertal mountain lifts are signaling their commitment to year-round operation. Alongside the new construction, the visitor information system at the valley, mid-mountain, and summit stations has been redesigned: Three panoramic information displays and digital screens are intended to better integrate orientation, safety, and operational information. The planning and implementation were carried out by sitour and feratel.
The new infrastructure combines traditional overviews with real-time data. The panoramic surfaces, featuring stretched fabric and integrated LED elements, can be quickly and cost-effectively reconfigured seasonally. They are complemented by 75-inch screens that display current operational and safety information immediately.
Piste and lift status, closures, notices, and other operational data are automatically fed in and curated via the screen editor. The mountain railways can independently upload content, from live webcam images to targeted service information. This creates an information and guidance system that keeps both operations and guests in focus.
For the mountain railways, this is more than just a technical update: it's a building block in a strategic development towards a clearly structured, year-round service.
Michael Domig, Managing Director of Bergbahnen Brandnertal said “With the new Loischkopf cable car, we are investing in the future viability of our destination. A crucial part of this is providing clear, reliable information for our guests. In our collaboration with sitour and feratel, it was important to us to install systems that work in everyday use: clear, flexible, and technically robust. The modern panoramic information systems help us to raise safety, orientation, and service to a contemporary level.”
Franz X. Gruber, Managing Director of sitour Marketing GmbH added “Modern mountain railways today need more than just transport capacity. Orientation, information, and safety are in demand, ideally in real time. The systems in the Brandnertal valley demonstrate how analog overviews and digital control can combine to form a reliable system that guides guests and reduces operational workload.”
With state-of-the-art 10-seater gondolas, the new lift not only offers a safe and comfortable ride, but also allows for the convenient transport of bikes, sports equipment, strollers & more. The modern infrastructure will also significantly enhance the overall quality of the ski, hiking, and biking area.
