Lenny Kravitz To Crown Ischgl’s Star-Spangled Ski Season

Rock star Lenny Kravitz – whose hit 5 More Days ‘Til Summer was one of the signature sounds of the UK’s long hot summer – will scale new heights when he stars in Ischgl's Top of the Mountain season closing concert.

The American singer will bring the Tirolean resort’s five month long ski season to a spectacular finale on April 30, the penultimate day of the season, performing on a mountain top open-air stage at 2,320m in front of thousands of fans.

Ischgl’s star-spangled 2018-19 winter season opens on November 22 and two days later superstar Jason Derulo performs the opening concert.

Derulo and Kravitz join Ischgl’s impressive Hall Of Fame of international artists who have opened and closed Ischgl’s ski season, including Robbie Williams, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey.

Kravitz, a huge name in rock since signing his first record deal nearly 30 years ago, will be performing hits such as Are You Gonna Go My Way, It Ain't Over ‘Til It's Over and Fly Away, as well as songs from his latest album Raise Vibration.

The unique vocal strengths of the 54-year-old multi-talented singer means he's equally brilliant with rock, soul, funk and reggae to create an unforgettable concert experience.

The song writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist has won four consecutive Grammy Awards, as well as setting a record for the most wins in the ‘Best Male Rock Vocal Performance’ category. He has made 11 studio albums, selling more than 38 million worldwide, and has acted in the movie hits The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Kravitz also appeared in the critically-acclaimed films Precious and The Butler.

Ischgl’s Silvretta Ski Arena offers snowsure skiing and boarding on 239km of cross-border groomed piste crossing over from Austria into Samnaun in Switzerland, accessed by 45 high-tech skilifts, making it a top wintersports destination. The twin-lined Skyfly ziplines offer an exhilerating option to descend from mid-mountain to the village.

Admission to the Kravitz concert is included with a valid ski pass at a special rate. One, two or three-day ski passes are available locally with the Paznaun-Ischgl guest card for 115, 135 and 149 euros. Daily ski passes can be bought in advance online for April 30, subject to availability, from December 3. Ischgl's ski area, the Silvretta Arena, will be open up to and including May 1,2019.
