“We started this project by focusing on a great fit and creating an intuitive design that invites the skier into the boot,” says Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America. Starting with its unique opening that makes it easy to get into, the Vanguard is going to amaze everyone who puts it on. This is the best liner we have ever designed and it delivers all-day comfort. The boots range of motion when touring coupled with the stiff 130 flex for downhill performance makes this the do-it-all boot we all have been waiting for.”

The Vanguard cuff, shell, and sole are eco-friendly, derived from bio based RNEW 1100 Castor Oil Seed Pebax® with high resistance to low temperatures and excellent flexibility. The V-Shape Cuff with scissor opening makes fitting the boot extremely fast and intuitive. It also makes the boot exceptionally easy to put on and take off. The EZ-Flex double tongue has two different stiffnesses for uphill mobility and downhill skiing. V-Guard interfaces at the toe and heel are abrasion resistant and the Twin-Power double band at the top of the boot combines the upper buckle and Power Strap to ensure comfort and precision.

The Ultralon foam liner is thermo-moldable, extremely comfortable out of the box with two flex zones and differentiated thicknesses with two flex zones and differentiated thicknesses to work in harmony with the outer cuff. The Vanguard is compliant with UNI EN ISO 9523 standards and is compatible with all frame and tech style touring bindings.
