At the “Kaunertal Freeride Days” on the Kaunertal Glacier, visitors can test the material of well-known exhibitors - eg Scott, Faction DPS, Stöckli and ARVA - free of charge and without obligation. Local guides and well-known riders from the scene, including freeskier Bernhard Braun, give helpful tips for skiing on slopes in the free ski room and show their favorite freeride spots.

One of the highlights is the free Pistenbully taxi to the Nörderjoch, from where the legendary freeride variant leads over 1,100 meters down to the Fernergries. A ski bus in turn brings the freeriders back to the Ochsenalm chairlift quickly and easily - also free of charge.

Tips from professionals
For all those who want to find out about the correct handling of avalanche equipment, branch specialist ARVA offers free workshops with an avalanche search field. The sports sponsoring platform "Become-a-pro.net" is also on site at the event weekend and gives young athletes helpful tips on how to apply for athlete sponsoring.

In addition to a “Riders Lounge” directly on the event site, Daniel Haselwanter with his live act and DJ Sofamaxx create a good atmosphere on Saturday. The “Ö3-PistenBully” brings party mood to the slopes on Sunday.

The Kaunertal Glacier is one of the best and snowiest freeride locations in the Alps. The high altitude is almost a guarantee for powder snow well into spring and the sun in March usually ensures optimal conditions at pleasant temperatures.
