Hoher Kasten Drehrestaurant und Seilbahn AG can look back on a very successful year in 2023. The 224,441 frequencies represent the second best annual result that the cable car to the eastern Swiss panoramic mountain has ever achieved in its history since 1964. Only the year 2008, when the revolving restaurant opened, brought an even more brilliant result with a record 241,846 frequencies. The success is also reflected in the financial result. Compared to the previous year, rail sales were CHF 206,519 or 9% higher. In addition to the operational depreciation of CHF 925,000, a further CHF 260,000 was written off. The bottom line is that CHF 515,074 is the highest annual profit in the company's history.

General meeting on June 1, 2024

The general meeting will take place on June 1, 2024, traditionally in the open air, directly at the valley station in Brülisau. New elections are coming up. Emil Koller is stepping down as Chairman of the Board of Directors after 21 years. In his place, the board of directors is proposing Jonny Dörig as the new president and Yvonne Fässler should be elected to the strategic management body.

60th anniversary of the cable car

The cable car from Brülisau to the Hoher Kasten began operating 60 years ago. The anniversary is celebrated together with the Kronbergbahn, which opened in the same year. The focus of the anniversary activities is a signposted themed hike between the two mountain peaks.

New cable car within easy reach

The cable car will undergo major maintenance work in the coming years. Given the amount of investment required, the board of directors is currently also examining the option of a completely new cable car from Brülisau. Further information will be available first hand at the general meeting.
