G. Love & Chadwick Stokes Of DISPATCH To Perform Benefit Concert At Burke Mountain

Music lovers are invited to a special night of live music and community support when artists G. Love and Chadwick Stokes of DISPATCH take the stage at Burke Mountain Hotel on Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m. Set against the backdrop of Burke Mountain Resort, the concert promises a memorable collaboration between two nationally renowned artists in support of two local nonprofit organizations. The all-ages concert will benefit both the Burke Mountain Academy (BMA) Junior Program and Catamount Arts.

G. Love, frontman of G. Love & Special Sauce, is known for his distinctive fusion of hip-hop, blues, funk, and soul. Formed in Philadelphia in the early 1990s, G. Love & Special Sauce gained national attention with their 1994 self-titled debut album and breakout single “Cold Beverage.” Over the years, the band has released numerous acclaimed albums, including Coast to Coast MotelYeah, It’s That Easy, and the GRAMMY-nominated The Juice (2020). On his own, G. Love has collaborated with artists including Jack Johnson and released several solo projects. Last winter, G. Love played his first ever show at Burke and sold out the event.

Chadwick Stokes, best known as the co-founder and frontman of DISPATCH, is an accomplished songwriter whose work blends music, storytelling, and activism. Raised on a small farm outside Boston, Stokes began writing songs at an early age and went on to form DISPATCH in his early 20s, followed by the politically driven band State Radio and his current project, Chadwick Stokes and the Pintos. Deeply committed to social justice, Stokes co-founded the nonprofit Calling All Crows with his wife, Sybil, engaging music fans in advocacy around women’s rights, refugee issues, and ending sexual violence in the music industry. His career reflects a dedication to using music as a catalyst for positive change.

Recipients of the concert proceeds include the BMA Junior Program and Catamount ArtsThe BMA Junior Program supports youth ski racing progression in a fun, healthy, and safe environment that fosters a life-long love of the sport. Catamount Arts’ mission is to inspire appreciation of and participation in the Arts, promote the Arts throughout the Northeast Kingdom region, and cultivate the Arts as an integral part of community life. The concert will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m. in the Burke Mountain Hotel Great Room. Tickets are $35 and are available at catamountarts.org
