Eco Alpin / Corvatsch Builds The Newest Halfpipe In The World

After a two-year construction phase, the new halfpipe below the Murtèl middle station is open. The halfpipe completes the already first-class freestyle offering in Corvatsch Park and is a major investment in the future of freestyle sport - for the Engadine, but also for the whole of Switzerland. Eco Alpin accompanied the project from the start.

Eco Alpin SA was allowed to plan and implement the new halfpipe for Bergbahnen Corvatsch AG - without snow. The work is limited to the planning and implementation of the halfpipe, which was completely built into the ground, for the upcoming Freestyle Ski World Championships in 2025. The corresponding environmental construction support was also carried out. A particular challenge in this project was landscape protection: in a pilot project, the vegetation layer was removed in order to be processed indoors. These were put back in after the construction work was completed so that the surrounding area could then look as similar as possible to how it did before the intervention. The whole project was accompanied by a film crew - take a look here!
