Dragon Eyewear Announces New XP Cross-Performance Sunglass Collection

Dragon Eyewear, a globally recognized performance eyewear brand with deep ties to the action sports world, today announced the launch of their new, premium XP Cross-Performance sunglass collection.

The new offering from Dragon Eyewear introduces six styles that are designed for adventure, discovery and exploring the unknown. The XP Cross-Performance line spans three sub-categories – Terra, Hydra and Glacia – to provide optimal functionality with features that adjust to demanding outdoor conditions, creating a customized experience on land, water or snow.

The Terra category is made for outdoor activities ranging from mountain biking to trail running and everything in between and is designed with a fit to adapt to any condition. The new Tracer X and Ridge X sunglasses come equipped with clear and brown bonus lenses for varying light conditions with an easy, interchangeable tab-release system that allows for a quick lens change on the go. Both of these styles have an ergonomic sport fit designed for helmet compatibility, along with ventilated rubber nose pads and adjustable rubber temple tips for superior grip and airflow. These two styles are produced using injected, plant-based resin, which renders these frames eco-friendly. The fall campaign imagery features skier Chris Benchetler in his signature Tracer X sunglasses in Orange Ion.

The Hydra category is dedicated to those who want to enhance their experience on the water as they engage in fishing, boating, stand-up paddle boarding and all water sport activities. The Performance Polar lenses eliminate the harsh glare from the sun and help enhance colors and contrasts, leaving a remarkably crisp field of vision. These two styles, Mariner X and Equinox X, complement the floatable frame material and lightweight Performance Polar lenses with a floatable and adjustable leash to create a completely floatable system. They also are equipped with ventilated rubber nose pads for optimal airflow and rubber temple tips for added comfort and superior grip. Both styles offer a variety of lens tints that are ideal for off-shore or on-shore environments. The fall campaign imagery features champion, big wave surfer Shane Dorian in his signature Mariner X sunglass in Super Blue Ion.

The Glacia category is purpose-built for those who push their limits touring, hiking, and exploring the backcountry, serving as the perfect companion to keep them prepared for the changing environments and challenges they will face on their journey. The Excursion X and Latitude X sunglasses come equipped with removable sun shields for blocking harsh UV light associated with high-altitude, while the detachable leash and interchangeable cable temples allow for added security and comfort. These styles are available in lens tints that are best for snow-based activities, whether it’s a sunny bluebird day or cloudy conditions. These styles are also designed with injected plant-based resin, rendering these frames as eco-friendly. Dragon Eyewear’s fall campaign features professional snowboarder Danny Davis in his signature Excursion X sunglass in Super Strong Silver.

Dragon Eyewear’s new XP Cross-Performance line of sunglasses will be available worldwide on September 1st at select Dragon specialty retailers and at dragonalliance.com.
