Brundage Mountain Announces Sneak Peek Weekend -Major Winter Storms Take Aim At West Central Mountains

A powerful series of storms is lining up to deliver a welcome shot of winter to Brundage Mountain, with 12 to 18 inches of new snow accumulation possible through Sunday, December 7 and more storms in the forecast all next week. Hopes are high that the incoming weather could open additional terrain and lifts soon, but in the meantime, Brundage is inviting skiers and riders to kick off the resort’s 65th season with a special Sneak Peek Weekend on Easy Street.

DSC09973 (sm).jpgBrundage Mountain will operate the Easy Street Chairlift this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Access is free with a 2025/26 Season Pass or a $0 ticket loaded on to an existing or new RFID card. Tickets can be secured online or picked up at Guest Services.

“We’re buzzing with anticipation,” said Brundage Mountain General Manager Ken Rider. “Storms are lining up off the coast, and this next round has real potential. While we expect to be skiing much more of the mountain soon, we’re excited to welcome our community back on snow this weekend.”

Weekend Operations: Friday, December 5 through Sunday, December 7

• Guest Services: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Rental & Tune Shop: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Retail Shop: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (up to 75% off last year’s goggles and helmets plus double season passholder discounts)

Saturday, December 6 & Sunday, December 7

• Easy Street Chairlift: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Easy Rider conveyor closed)
• Basecamp Coffee: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Smoky’s Bar & Grill: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• MTN Sports School: 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. (90-minute private lessons for skiers)
• Stuff a Snowcat Toy & Canned Food Drive

As the slopes fill with fresh snow, Brundage is also working to fill something else — a snowcat — with donations for local families. From Dec. 4–14, the resort will host its annual Brundage in the Community Week featuring the Stuff a Snowcat Toy and Canned Food Drive. Guests are invited to help “Stuff-A-Snowcat” with toys, small bikes (24-inch wheels and smaller), nonperishable food items, gift cards and new toiletries to support families in Valley and Adams counties.

All donations benefit the New Meadows and Donnelly Food Pantries.

Festive collection boxes will be available in Guest Services and the Downtown Retail Store.

“We love seeing our community come together on and off the snow,” Rider said. “Stuff a Snowcat is a fun, visual way to support local families during the holiday season.”

Additional Terrain and Lift Openings Possible Within Days

Guests are encouraged to check the Snow Report page for updates as these incoming storms develop and snow continues to accumulate. Brundage Mountain will open more terrain and additional chairlifts as soon as snow conditions allow.
