Black Diamond To Host Block Party Honoring Grand Opening Of Anchorage Retail Location

Black Diamond Equipment, a global innovator in climbing, skiing and mountain sports equipment, will host a block party this Friday, May 11, in Anchorage, Alaska. The party will honor the grand opening of Black Diamond Equipment’s Anchorage retail location and occur on D Street, between 4 & 5, from 5-9 p.m.

“While this event celebrates the grand opening of BD retail in Anchorage,” comments Chris Marrano, manager of the Black Diamond Equipment Anchorage retail location. “It also marks the beginning of an opportunity for Black Diamond to partner, collaborate and serve as a hub to Alaska’s growing climbing and skiing communities.”

Entry to the grand opening block party is $20. This includes 3 food tickets, 2 beer tickets and 1 raffle ticket. Additional tickets will be available for purchase: food $3.00, 12 oz. beer $4.00, raffle $7.00 or 2 for $10.00.

The Seward-based Alaska band Blackwater Railroad Company will provide the music with the jamming set to begin at 6 p.m. Food will be catered by Smokehouse BBQ. The block party beer sponsors include Broken Tooth Brewery, Denali Brewing Company and Midnight Sun Brewing.

All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Chugach Avalanche Center and Anchorage Ski Club (Arctic Valley).

At the event, Black Diamond Equipment Anchorage will incorporate grand opening specials including: 20% off a single Black Diamond item and 10% off the rest of your purchase (applicable to non-Black Diamond products). Offer valid through May 31, 2018. Some restrictions will apply.
